#158 ZenfiniTea Botanical Bar

Earlier this week Corey messaged me asking if I wanted to do something this weekend. He mentioned that he had an idea on something to do but that I needed to be open minded. That scared me at first because I am pretty open to a lot of things and he knows this. For him to say it I thought maybe murder might be involved. Turns out he just wanted to go to a scandalous botanical bar where they serve things like hemp coffee.

Somehow the entire trip ended up being a mother’s day thing. When we went to lunch before hand at a restaurant called Gill Dawgs Tiki Bar & Grill. It was pretty cool we ate outside waterside and the food was amazing especially the sweet potato fries. It was while there that we realized each of us had brought our mothers. So it became a mothers day thing way in advance. We all drove together to ZenfiniTea. The lounge was very laid back. It had sofas, zen gardens, pool tables, chess, checkers, and live music. We al ordered our drinks and sat to talk, play and relax. I ordered a amaretto flavored white Kratom tea.

Kratom is a plant classified as Mitragyna Speciosa. Kratom is in the coffee family (Rubiaceae) and has 42 active alkaloids that give it its effects and long history of medicinal benefits. It is NOT an opiate, which is a common misconception. It is actually an opioid agonist, meaning the alkaloids in Kratom affect your opiate receptors in your brain. When taken, Kratom has been known to help people with: chronic pain issues, fibromyalgia, diabetes, insomnia, high blood pressure, RLS and has also helped with opiate withdrawl. Kratom also has anti-anxiety properties to help people in feeling more sociable.

After a while we all drifted out to the garden where we discovered more seating, giant jenga, and corn hole. We sat out in the drizzling rain while playing and relaxing before we headed on home. It was a fun chill day. I would do it more often if it wasn’t so far away. Sometime soon. Might just get hooked on this Kratom if its super helpful with chronic pain.
